The Great Depression was a time of great pain and suffering for the people of Alberta. Take a look into this most fascinating time and find out what it was like to live during the “Dirty Thirties.”

You are to research The Great Depression in Alberta and then present your information in brochure form. Your brochure is to be done on your own. Each student is to complete a brochure.

    3. Tell two ways the Great Depression affected people’s daily lives in Alberta?
    4. Write two reasons why the farmers in Alberta could not grow their crops well during The Great Depression?
    5. What years did The Great Depression take place?
    6. How was The Great Depression different in Alberta as compared to the rest of Canada?
